Thanksgiving

It has been a tradition since all of the girls came back from the states as au pair's they would gather once a year to celebrate thanksgiving together. We had 13 people in the house for the weekend. Friends from all over Europe came..England, Belgium and that far away land of the USA.

Mallorca

Trip to Mallorca with friends. The first photo is us getting caught in the rain while we were out for a bike ride. We thought the rain would pass and after a few hours of sitting in a restaurant waiting for the weather to pass we decided to make a run for it in our trash bag rain coats. The other photos are of Susi in front of a olive tree which are all over the island. The other is a road runner type highway...you would of loved it Mom!

Dolomites

Vacation in Sudtirol Italy with Mutti and Papa. We had a pleasant suprise the first day when we arrived, the farmers were bringing there cows down from the higher fields to the barns for the winter. I guess this is just another reason to celebrate, so like all good celebrations you need to have a schnapps fortunately for us this lovely lady was sitting high on the hills with schnapps.

Volksfest

Susi and I went with some colleagues of mine to the Stuttgart Volksfest. All I can say is what a blast. The next morning we drove to Italy for a well needed vacation. Despite what the photos may look like we really didn't have a good time........yeah right!

Oktoberfest!

We went to Munich this weekend to celebrate the great art of beer making and of course beer drinking. We attempted to meet up with Susi's friends who live in Munich but it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. We finally met up with everyone through the course of the evening. Oktoberfest is difficult to explain except by saying all of you that want to come visit next year we will definetly go again....oh yeah next week is Volksfest...the second largest beer gathering in Germany and it is in our lovely city of Stuttgart. Oh and yes I am wearing Lederhosen!

Cars

As a child I have always had a fascination for cars that seem to break down. We thought of upgrading Lulu but we could only afford two choices??

I was going to send some photos of me and my bulging muscles gracefully climbing up some beautiful cliff band in the south of France. However, I seemed to spend more time hanging in my harness. Jay, Leesa, Susi and I had a wonderful time though.

One year Anniversary

Susi and I decided to switch years to plan for our anniversary get aways. Susi planned this year.

A baby is born

German Training

Since Susi and I have been in Germany we have done alot of training for Beerfest.....we have located some people who joined us in good old fashion German training!
